Weekly Traditions
Each week, Baumer Buccs gather in the St. Martin de Porres Chapel in the dorm to celebrate Mass every Sunday at 10 PM. In Baumer, we have a strong sense of inclusion. As such, we invite those of all backgrounds to join us in community at Mass!

Baumer has a dedicated table in South Dining Hall so that no Bucc eats alone. Whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner, pick a spot at Baumer Table and you’ll always find yourself in good company.

Signature Events
Buc-An-Ear
Started two years ago by former President and Vice President Russell Henggeler and Mattia Bernocco, this Baumer event is very popular among Baumer residents and the campus community. During Bay Week, our signature event week in the spring, Baumer Bucs set up a grill-out and sell corn on the cob for a just one buck. All proceeds go to the South Bend Center for the Homeless.
Each year, Baumer gets together and rallies over who will be the subject of the Baumer x McGlinn Wedding. Every section nominates one eligible bachelor, and then the hall-wide voting commences. Each vote for the final Baumer Bachelor raises money for the South Bend Center for the Homeless. Once the Baumer Bachelor is selected, a wedding ceremony takes place in Baumer in which the chosen bride from McGlinn marries the Baumer Bachelor. A wedding reception with cake follows!
